Variations can occur due to the natural differences in individual hides, batch variations in leather, and display screen settings. Many of our customers find that the actual leather and stitching in our straps possess greater elegance and character than what is conveyed through website images.

At DaVarg, we exclusively use authentic vegetable-tanned top-grain or full-grain leather sourced from Italian or U.S.-based tanneries for crafting Heming watch straps. Since watch straps are intended for daily wear, we prefer pebbled leather for its exceptional resilience to scratches and resistance to moisture. The pebbled texture also enhances the leather’s natural character, giving the watch straps a unique, multi-tonal appearance.

Our watch straps are meticulously handcrafted using traditional Western saddle-crafting techniques. Each strap is saddle-stitched by hand with a single thread and two needles, creating crisscross stitches that are inherently stronger than machine-made lock stitches. Hand stitching also enables us to use thicker, more durable bonded threads to ensure precise, uniformly aligned stitches. You'll notice that the stitches are perfectly offset from the edges and lack the double stitching often found in machine-made straps, reflecting the craftsmanship perfection of our watch straps.
